Toronto has a large pool of multicultural actors who have gained extensive experience through both domestic and foreign productions.

The Performers Union is the Association of Canadian Television & Radio Artists.

In Toronto, ACTRA has over 10,000 members, many of whom are now seen in commercials around the globe. Being one of the largest multicultural cities, this is also reflected in our talent pool.

The basic 9-hour Session Fee is net Canadian $621.

For use in the U.S.

Even though your agency may be a S.A.G. Engager, you will need to go through an A.C.T.R.A. Engager, either through your Toronto office or through our members Canadian Connection or Talent Payment Services.

When you use an all Canadian cast, the performers get paid both session and residual fees in Canadian dollars. As well as the benefit of the lower exchange rate, you also save an additional 10%. (A.C.T.R.A. contributions are 11% for pension & welfare, whereas S.A.G.'s session contributions total 34.53 %.)

Weekend shoots can take place with no talent premium and there is no such thing as Holding Fees.

For Use in Other Countries (excluding North America).

A.C.T.R.A. provides incentives for foreign use. These foreign use fees are based on multiples of session fees. They cover an 18-month use period from broadcast date.
